One very moving thing that happened during Brianna's signing was a visit from a family visiting from Sweden. She didn't complain, in fact she hardly even mentioned it - how hot she must have been! Here's a picture of her in her very cute VW getting ready to leave after her signing.

I would also like to note that Brianna drove from Riverside in 110 degrees without air conditioning to make this book signing. Below is a review from one of our staff members - we hope you will read it.

(We have a few autographed copies left) Brianna's book is helping to give homelessness a much needed voice. And those of you that couldn't make it, and/or have not yet read her book, we really urge you to do so. Those of you that took the time to stop by and talk to Brianna on Saturday know what I'm talking about. Brianna Karp is one of those rare and amazing human beings on this planet.and we feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to not only host her book signing, but to meet her.

Well, this past Saturday's book signing was definitely one of our more moving book signings we have had.

  • Some of our members have lists of their favorites (links below).Thank you, Brianna Karp, for signing at our store on July 23rd!.
  • Unless one of us suggested an “optional” book for months when we did not hold a meeting, that month is left blank.
  • When the months and years we discussed the books are not listed, it is because we have lost track of what we read when.
  • The titles are mostly fiction (from literary fiction to popular fiction, including a hefty dose of science fiction), yet we’ve been leaning towards more non-fiction over the years in genres from history and memoir to economics and philosophy.
  • These are the books we’ve consumed over the years.
